These pictures are taken of work carried out to the back of a house. The owners previously has a conservatory, which they loved as it gave them some extra space they required. They decided to convert it into an extension which greatly increased the room downstairs and really made the garden feel like an additional extension with the use of bi-folding doors.
In this job I had to dig out several conifer tree roots on the fence line prior to building.
It was important to establish a firm foundation before laying the recessed concrete boards.
These concrete boards are great for keeping your timber fence away from ground contact which prolongs the life of the fence as constant contact with damp can damage the timber.
The bottom right picture shows an 8 foot long special sized overlap fence panel.
Overlap and close board panels can be made to any odd sizes
This first picture shows the previous 6ft fence that was in need of replacement.
The owners wanted the same type of fence again as close board fences are strong due to the structure of the fame and durable.
The pictures below are of the finished result.
The picture on the left shows the fence line which I had to clear and level.
I then installed the 5ft overlap fence panels with concrete posts and gravel board.

The first picture is of the old concrete patio which I had to break up and skip away.
The next picture is on completion with a channel drain added to prevent the build up of surface water.
